Purpose
Our editorial purpose is to help nurses, students, employers, recruiters, educators, and members of the public reach the correct licensing authority and understand the next step without mistaking this website for a regulator.
Primary-source standard
Rules, fees, deadlines, license status, contact details, and official actions are based primarily on state or territorial licensing authorities, statutes, administrative rules, official portals, NCSBN, Nursys, the Nurse Licensure Compact, and NCLEX resources. A third-party page may help identify a research gap, but it does not replace a primary source for a licensing requirement.
Credential-aware review
We check whether RN, LPN/LVN, APRN, nurse aide, medication assistant, and other credentials are handled by the same authority. Split-board jurisdictions are described explicitly rather than collapsed into a single generic agency.
Links and calls to action
Public action buttons use an exact task classification. A national Nursys or NCSBN resource cannot be substituted for a state renewal portal. If an exact jurisdiction-specific route is not recorded, the external action is withheld.
Dates and updates
A verification date indicates the date recorded in the source dataset. A content-modified date may be newer when structure or wording changes without re-verifying the underlying rule. We do not change every page date merely to create an appearance of freshness.
Corrections
Material corrections require a source URL or other primary evidence. We preserve a public update log and internal audit record for each jurisdiction.
