Source hierarchy
- State or territorial nursing boards, licensing departments, health departments, statutes, and administrative rules.
- Official online licensing, verification, renewal, fee, application, complaint, and discipline systems.
- NCSBN, Nursys, Nurse Licensure Compact, and NCLEX resources.
- Official forms, policy notices, board meeting materials, and published FAQs.
- Reputable secondary sources used only to locate or contextualize a primary source.
Task classification
Every recorded external link is assigned an explicit task type such as license lookup, renewal, continuing education, endorsement, fees, complaints, contact, applications, compact, or authority homepage. Public buttons select only the exact jurisdiction-level task type. Fuzzy keyword matching is not used.
Destination review
A successful HTTP response alone does not prove relevance. The expected destination must match the task. Government sites may block automated requests, so live link-check results are treated as alerts for human review rather than automatic proof that a rule changed.
Missing information
When an authority does not publish a direct route or a fact cannot be confirmed, the site states that the route is unavailable or omits the claim. We do not manufacture a fee, deadline, email address, or portal path to fill a template.
Audit files
The site package includes a per-jurisdiction comparison audit, populated official-link JSON and CSV evidence, a content-similarity report, a source register, and a hosting-side link checker.
